Hello
Hello everybody from Brazil ! My name is Levon and I'm from The Netherlands. I'll be reading your nice forum , but don't speak any Portuguese. I can translate you entries with my Systran translate software and hope I can read something about bonsai in Brazil on this forum 😄 I'm very interested in Shohin and bonsai pots. That's why I have a website with 180+ bonsai pot hanko (Signatures) and I'm making a book with 65 western Bonsai potters worldwide. This book will be published as soon as we can find our last of 5 advertisers for the book. My (pre)bonsai can be found on my Dutch website : http://www.yamadori.nl

Re: Hello
Hello Levon! Wellcome!
Mario Leal, who suports this website, is wellcoming you too!

Nice to meet you and it's a pleasure to change experiences with bonsai lovers around the world!

Indeed we have in Brazil some bonsai potters making a very good job!
Maybe you can contact some of them in this forum.

Tell us about your book. Are you a ceramist (bonsai potter) too?

We invite you to tell us a little bit more about you, even with your personal photo if possible, in the space "QUEM SOU EU", in this forum.

I'm sure we have interesting experiences to change!

See you,
Charles

No, I'm not a potter. Just making a bonsai potter book 😉 This is the message I just added to the English bonsai forum www.bonsaitalk.com :

Daan Giphart and me are making a bonsai potter book. To get this book published, we need 5 companies that are willing to advertise in this book. So far, we’ve got 4. The companies who will advertise in our book will get 150 copies of the book for free. Who of you knows a company, that might want this ?

In the book (1500 copies, full color) will be about 62 non Asian potters, who all get two pages (168 x 240 mm). On the first page will be their hanko, photo of themselves, contact information and an English Biography. On the other page will be photo's of their bonsai pots. The cover has been made by the artist Irene Chang.

The following potters will be in the book :

Bryan Albright, Derek Aspinall, Jack Bacus, Ian Baillie, Jim Barrett, Marc Bauwens, Cecilia Barton, Dan Barton, Richard Boggs, Patrice Bongrand, Dale Cochoy, Gordon Duffett, Gilbert van der Elst, Petra Engelke, Jim Gremel, Filip Haesen, Michael Hagedorn, Petra Hahn, Alan Harriman, Victor and Glyn Harris, Horst Heinzlreiter, Jürgen Hilken, Franz Hilliger, Roger Hnatiuk, Stan and Ilse Holroyd, Renske Jaasma, David Jones, Lenie Jongerhuis, Andreas van Kerckhove, Milan Klika and Vlada Kurátková, Ingrid Kralovec, Peter Krebs, Ron Lang, Dick Lankers, René Lecocq, Nick Lenz, Dave Lowman, Elsebeth Ludvigsen, Jacques Marty, Sandi McFarland, Hans Meeuwsen, Andy Pearson, Donnas Hermena Peterson, John Pitt, Morea Pubben, Sara Rayner, Mario Remeggio, Tony Remington, Ron de Roo, Harry Smeets, Roger Snipes, Piotr Świecki, Diane Thoman, Kevin Thompson, Dirk Vanspeybroeck, Dolf Verjans, William Vlaanderen, Emil Wanningen en Silvia Weber.

If you need some more info about this project, just send me an email.
